Frozen Starburst Mocktail

Yield: 4
Refreshing on it's own, but can be modified into something more potent with 6 ounces of light rum in the recipe.
Ingredients
- 10-oz bottle orange juice (like, Simply Orange)
- 6-oz can pineapple-mango juice (like, Dole)
- 1 10-oz bottle sugar-free cranberry juice (like, Ocean Spray Diet)
- 1 tsp table sugar
- 4 cups hard ice
- 4 splashes Grenadine syrup (like, Rose's)
- 4 orange slices (for garnish)
Instructions
- Put all ingredients except the grenadine into a blender and blend until smooth and slushy.
- Pour into four chilled highball glasses.
- Splash the Grenadine syrup on top.
- Garnish each with an orange slice and a red & white striped straw.
Notes
- The term "hard ice" is an old bartender term from the days when a mixologist would use an ice pick on a large block of ice to pick off large chunks of ice to make a cocktail. Today, the term "hard ice" is to distinguish it from "crushed ice" or "shaved ice."
- For less dilution and better flavor, chill the three juices before using in the recipe.
